The bag you would never have seen: Street Style 8

Just look at this thing. A face ‘built’ on a bag, now who would have thought of that? I totally believed that this is Rajnikanth sir. But now I think that is not the case. Whom do you think it is? There is a line above the face that says ‘ Do you know me?’ 🙂

Honestly, I don’t like this bag that much. It is not something that I would want to own. I don’t no why, just not something I would want to have. But it’s definitely quirky and different. 🙂 I think it deserves a street style post here. What do you think?

The Quirky Kurta: Street Style 7

Remember my post here about when I went to Janpath? Well, I saw a lady wearing the kurta (Indian tunic) shown below and I think it is a statement in itself. 🙂 Honestly, I have seen many quirky kurtas recently in metro and elsewhere, but I don’t quite like the fact that most of these are made of this thin, polyester-like fabric which, to me, looks a little cheapish but I understand that it is a matter of personal choice (and maybe, someday, I start liking this fabric myself 😛 considering the sheer number of prints thronging the market! ). However, I once remember seeing a woman wearing a kurta with stuff that’s usually written on trucks written all over it and it was not of this polyester-like fabric but of cotton-like fabric. That one looked really beautiful.

Anyway, I digress. Coming back to the kurta featured here, I don’t remember if it looked classy or not, but different (in a good way) it sure is! Have a look and tell me in comments what you think of it. I would  love to know. 🙂

Quirky summer bags: Street Style #6

How often do you come across someone in the metro who are carrying a very cool bag but at the same time, their friend has an equally nice bag. They need to be clicked, no matter how awkward you and your, err, phone camera are. So, here you go (excuse the picture quality and angles please, I don’t know how I can cover up for that :/ ):

She is Ankita and her bag is from Pune. She doesn’t know which store it is from because it is a gift. 🙂 Lovely, ain’t it? I loved it, spacious and stylish. Oh, and, it is a cloth/canvas bag, so, environment-friendly too.

The other girl whom I managed to click in one of the weirdest poses ever on the face of Earth is Ankita’s friend, Vanya. She, by the way, was very sweet. 🙂 Her bag is from Max. Max is available in many cities, so if you want to grab that one, now is the time (Sale season people!).

So, how did you like them? I liked Ankita’s bag more because it is, well, uncommon. 🙂 What about you?

By the way, many such backpack style bags (like Vanya’s) with amazing quirky designs are available on Limeroad.com. No, they are not paying me to write this, I just happened to check their bag collection a few days back and decided that whenever I do this post, I’ll mention their bag collection in case someone is head over heels in love with such kind of bags. 🙂  (Although, I do hope that they read this and sponsor a post here 😀 ).

PS: Do you think I should stop doing street style posts until I get a better camera with me? I anyway do less travel and street markets posts because of a lack of camera. The thing is that street style once missed is missed forever. What do you guys think?

Blue Bows: Street Style #5

Hello everyone 🙂

I am pretty caught up with work, exams and what not! I do waste a lot of time nonetheless :D, but cannot write a post if I am not in the right mood to do it. You know what I mean, right? So, here I am, writing a short (and hopefully nice) post till the time I come up with other posts that I have planned but are comparatively time taking. 🙂

I spotted this girl in the metro wearing this beautiful, satiny blue bow on her hair, she looked really cute with that thing on. I am not a big bows fan, I mean I am pretty neutral about them, I don’t hate them but I don’t love them a lot either. These, however, I found pretty cool.

I am sure a lot of girls like bows in their hair. Maybe you can take a cue from her hairstyle. 🙂 Isn’t her hairstyle easy and fun at the same time? What do you think?

Take care & keep smiling,

Srish 🙂

We give equal chances to men: Street Style #4

Yes, we do. I never ask men to get up from reserved seats in metro and buses, unless absolutely necessary (which hasn’t happened till now thankfully), considering the fact that we are *usually* more hardworking than men ;). If we want equality in rights, we are ready to face the world equally too, aren’t we?

Coming back, this time I am featuring a guy for Street Style. We came across him in metro. Although, I like men who dress up the classic way more and usually don’t like guys in extremely slim fit clothes, this person was a refreshing change. He was dressed up the way which I usually don’t find appealing, but his style did look clean. Laid-back enough, but at the same time, formal enough for people to take you seriously. In fact, the photos are bad and he looked better in reality. So, here you go.

Did you like his style? Did you hate it? Did you find it just fine and not something that would catch your attention? Would love to know! 🙂

Floral Saree: Street Style #3

This street style is so close to my heart, as I loved this saree completely. And there’s a funny story about how I clicked this lady on the streets 😀 (the story will tell you why there’s a single shot and that too kind of a weird one). 😀 Please don’t kill me for the long story! 😛

I saw her in Bangalore, walking towards her jeep with her friend, while I was checking out of the hotel I was staying in, with my friend, on our business trip there (maybe more on that later sometime!). We were already getting late for catching a flight back to Delhi. Amid all the rush, rush, I notice her on the road and I tell my friend, “please! please! I have to click her for the blog!” So, I walk up to her (actually, run) and tell her at one go, “Hey! Your sari is really pretty and I love the way you are dressed, I write about people whose dressing sense I like on my blog, can I have a picture for that?” She was surprised and she and her frient started laughing. In my head, I was like,” Dude! just say yes or no, fast!!” Haha! So, she said yes, and here you go 😀 :

Isn’t it such a lovely sari? I loved the fact that she paired it up with this white plain blouse. She was tall and the sari suited her quite well. I wish I had clicked her standing, but she was ready to run in her jeep, so were we! 😛 There’s a pretty necklace as well, I don’t know if you can see that. Hope you loved it as much as I did.

Take care 🙂
